Good cheekbones greatly enhance facial harmony and attractiveness. Patients with flat or hollow cheekbones can see dramatic results with cheek implant surgery. The goal of Houston plastic surgeons Dr. Russell Kridel and Dr. Sean Delaney is for you to achieve natural results tailored specifically to you, and not to just add prominent cheekbones.

Cheek Implants Reviews
Cheek augmentation surgery takes about an hour. Dr. Kridel and Dr. Delaney utilize a special medical-grade implant to restore a youthful contour to the cheeks. These come in a variety of shapes and sizes, easily tailored for each patient. To insert the implant, Dr. Kridel and Dr. Delaney will make an incision inside the mouth, between the upper gums and cheek. The soft cheek tissue is elevated, and a pocket is created over the cheekbone. Then, they slide the implant through the incision and stitch it in place.
Cheek augmentation is an outpatient procedure that is performed under general anesthesia at a nearby accredited surgical facility or under "twilight" iv sedation in our AAAHC-accredited facility. There will be swelling and some numbness, but bruising is uncommon. The swelling subsides gradually and your new look settles in over a period of a few months. Most patients can return to work within a week. However, strenuous exercise should be avoided for a few weeks.
The cost of cheek implant surgery will vary depending on the complexity of the surgical case. However, the average cost for cheek implant surgery ranges between $6,000-$7,000.

What are Implants Made of?
The implant is made of medical-grade solid silicone. There are several different types and sizes. Dr. Kridel and Dr. Delaney will select the most appropriate implant that best complements your facial structure.
Cheek Implant Safety?
Cheek implants have an excellent record for safety and patient satisfaction. At FSPA, we use medical-grade materials, and will be happy to show you samples of implants during your consultation.
Alternatives to Implants?
At the time of your consultation, Dr. Kridel and Dr. Delaney will examine your face and discuss your aesthetic goals to determine the best surgical plan for you. Sometimes, they may recommend a non-surgical approach using an injectable filler, such as Voluma™ or Sculpltra®.
Cheek Implant Permanence?
The results from a cheek implant procedure are permanent. Patients will continue to have the benefits for years to come, although the face will still undergo normal changes as part of the aging process.
