Demonstration of Botox and Morpheus 8

PRP stands for Platelet-rich plasma, which contains a number of growth factors with regenerative properties. When combined with RF-Microneedling, the PRP is better absorbed through the microchannel created during the Microneedling for better results and a quicker recovery. Botox can safely and effectively be injected at the same time as a Morpheus 8 because Botox is injected at a deeper layer and is therefore not affected by the Morpheus 8 treatment.

Demonstration of Botox and Morpheus 8 (2)

Our beautiful patient had Botox to relax her wrinkles and Morpheus 8 (micro-needling with Radiofrequency pulses) to improve her skin texture, firmness, and discolorations. The Morpheus 8 treatment can be comfortably performed with topical numbing cream, as in the case of our patient. For more aggressive treatments, we can provide added comfort with nerve blocks. Morpheus 8 is also a fantastic add-on for patients undergoing other cosmetic procedures. Most patients will see results from the Morpheus 8 treatment within a few days of the treatment, but the final result usually takes 3-4 weeks.

When do I need eyelid surgery?

This operation takes about two hours and can be done under either local or general anesthesia. You can be discharged the same day unless you're having other procedures at the same time. Don't worry about pain associated with eyelid surgery, but you should expect some swelling and bruising. Wear dark glasses for a few days to hide "black eyes"--this will also help you remember not to touch your eyelids while they're healing. What is a Botox demonstration look like?

One of the most popular ways to get rid of wrinkles, Botox injections work wonders on forehead creases, frown lines between the eyes, and crow's-feet. This is a simple, in-office treatment used to treat facial wrinkles. "It works by weakening the muscles of facial expression," says Dr. Russell Kridel. "Once the resting tone of these muscles is weakened, the pull of the muscles relaxes and the skin flattens out." What does a Restylane demonstration look like?

RESTYLANE®: Made in Sweden, Restylane ® (Q-Med) is a hyaluronic acid product that lasts much longer than (Zyplast) when injected into folds around the mouth. In countries worldwide, more than a million people have been treated with Restylane ® successfully. For a more pronounced mouth, your doctor injects Restylane ® inside the upper and/or lower lip. This is often combined with the marking of the contour of the lip; your doctor injects Restylane ® gel along the lip line. This prevents lipstick bleeding into lines around your lips. Gel may also be injected in the lines that go toward the nose, for an optimal result. For more information visit our website: http://www.todaysface.com/Procedures/Wrinkle_fillers.htm#restalyne Contact us: 713.526.5665

Where do you use fillers like Sculptra?

Sculptra® can be used to restore volume to hollow areas of the temples, cheeks, chin and under the eyes, as well as to define the jaw line. It is not recommended for use in and around the lips. The product is administered with local anesthesia and the discomfort is minimal. The results are natural-looking and appear over a period of a few months. Sculptra Aesthetic can last at least two or more years because it causes the body to stimulate its own collagen. Two to three sessions generally 4-6 weeks apart are usually needed. What are the different injectable facial fillers?

Injectable tissue fillers diminish wrinkles and fill in creases, folds, and facial depressions, and many of these can make a big difference in your appearance. Because we all eventually see signs of aging in our skin, doctors are doing lots of injections these days-- BOTOX®, Dysport, Collagen, the NEW Sculptra, Juvederm, Radiesse® (formerly Radiance ) and Restylane® are some of the most popular. Some patients choose to have these treatments along the way so that they will never need invasive surgery ; they stay happy with the results of stopgap skin treatments. For more information visit our website: http://www.todaysface.com/Procedures/Wrinkle_fillers.htm Contact us: 713.526.5665

Where do you use fillers like Radiesse?

Radiance ® or Radiesse ® is one of the newest tissue fillers on the market, and these injections are popular for patients who are bothered by lines near the mouth or "jowling" at the sides of the nose and mouth. What's most exciting about this tissue filler is that it lasts the longest of options available today-- up to one or more years in some people. For many people, Radiesse ® is the answer in staving off the need for a face lift. It successfully softens folds around the sides of the mouth and lip lines. It should not be used to make lips fuller, however. For more information visit our website: http://www.todaysface.com/Procedures/Wrinkle_fillers.htm Contact us: 713.526.5665

The skin can be restored, making you look younger. Today, many plastic surgeons are seeing an increasing demand for laser treatments because people have seen dramatic before and after photos of much-improved skin.

What areas of the face are the wrinkle relaxers most effective? By- Dr. Kridel

BOTOX® is an exciting approach that is different from traditional ways of treating the aging face. Collagen and fat injections work by filling in a wrinkle. Plus, botox is more effective at removing wrinkles in the upper third of the face. You have to be very careful in using BOTOX® injections for wrinkles in the middle and lower part of the face because that may distort your smile and other facial expressions.

Do Facial Injections Hurt?

Some patients choose to have these treatments along the way so that they will never need invasive surgery; they stay happy with the results of stopgap skin treatments. While receiving facial injections you may experience mild discomfort, but to ease the treatment, your doctor at Facial Plastic Surgery Associates will use a numbing medication.

What is a Facelift?

A facelift removes excess skin and tightens sagging tissue, thus restoring a youthful appearance that better reflects the youthful exuberance you feel. Typically, a facelift is combined with some sort of wrinkle-removing procedure like laser resurfacing so that you won't end up with a sleeker face with old-looking skin.

When to have a Facelift?

Some people today choose to have a facelift at a relatively young age as a form of preventive maintenance. Having your first lift before the signs of aging are pronounced will translate to more suble results, but you'll be able to maintain a youthful appearance with "tuck-up" procedures over the years, and you'll never look like you're really aging ( that's what movie stars do .) Friends may notice a 'refreshed' look, but they probably won't zero in on cosmetic surgery unless you tell them about it.

Dr. Kridel speaks about the Fellowship Program. Dr. Kridel's fellowship program is one of just 46 sanctioned programs across the United States and Canada and one of only two programs in Texas. He receives over 25 applicants each year from around the country for the one position.

Fashion & Plastic Surgery

Dr. Russell Kridel shares his opinion on the link between fashion and plastic surgery. His vast range of experience not only makes Dr. Kridel a sought-after speaker at meetings and courses nationwide, but his innovations and techniques make him an A-list interviewee for all forms of media. Extremely articulate at describing procedures and benefits, Dr. Kridel has been interviewed by the CBS Early Show in New York, featured often in national magazines, and has been a featured medical authority for Texas publications and TV segments.

Dr. Kridel & FPSA

He is the one Houston facial plastic surgeon who actually has patient photographs in Encyclopedia Britannica and Compton's Encyclopedia. He also has written chapters for textbooks on cosmetic surgery, has introduced a technique that is now a required part of study courses for residents, has edited a book on revision rhinoplasty (a procedure people come from all over the world to have him do), and has been featured as Best Plastic Surgeon in Houston for nose surgery in a 2003 issue of the Houston Chronicle . In November 2003, he made Vogue Magazine, where he was the only facial plastic surgeon noted for Texas.

Dr. Kridel - Rhinoplasty

It's not a beguiling feature, the nose. So, it's not at all surprising that thousands of Americans seek improvements in this prominent feature every year. When your nose is out of proportion with other features, it seems to dominate the scene. That's why one of today's most sought-after cosmetic surgical procedures is the one that's intended to change the size or shape of the nose. When you set out in search of information, you may know little more than your goal--to make your nose smaller, narrower, or wider. And it's absolutely true that these are realistic goals--certainly, a good facial plastic surgeon can straighten a crooked nose, eliminate unsightly humps, reshape the tip, and improve the angle between nose and upper lip. Furthermore, if you're having trouble breathing, he can perform reconstructive procedures inside your nose to enhance airflow.

Dr. Kridel's Approach

You don't have to be a movie star or politician to have a face lift. Nor is this facelift procedure reserved for narcissists. If you're on track with today's reality, you know that plenty of everyday people try to stay looking young, and that means that many folks you know have probably already had face lifts. Due to exposure to the elements, gravity's force, and the passage of time, it's inevitable that facial skin will show signs of aging. Good genes will keep you looking young longer, of course, but eventually, you'll succumb to the clock. Your facial skin loosens, thins, and sags, and wrinkles and pouches form in the cheeks, jawline, and neck.

Facial Rejuvenation

If you look in the mirror and see loose neck skin with vertical bands, a loss of jawline contour with jowly skin hanging down, and droopy cheeks, you're probably a good candidate.

How Long Does a Facelift Last?

The improvement lasts from five to 10 years, sometimes longer. No operation can permanently prevent aging, but the person who has a face lift never looks as old as she would have if she had not had the operation. Certainly, your appearance is moved back several years--a result that's invariably positive. When sagging appears again, you can have a tuck-up procedure, which can provide dramatic and long-lasting improvement.

What is Computer Imaging?

Computer Imaging is a specialized computer program Dr. Kridel uses to "morph" your photos during the consultation. This process is a valuable communication tool allowing you the ability to visualize your surgical goals -- right before your eyes!

About Otoplasty (Ear Pinning)

Dr. Sean Delaney provides valuable information about Otoplasty surgery. Otoplasty is also known as Ear Pinning surgery.

Hiding Facelift Incisions

What should I expect following a face lift? This is no small procedure so it's something you should plan for. And that means you need to build in about 10 days of recovery time. You won't be ready to go back to work or social activities for 10 to 14 days. Expect a low energy level. Don't worry that people will see scars. Dr. Kridel hides incisions in natural skin lines and creases, and any visible scars will fade until barely noticeable. You'll have swelling and bruising, which will disappear in a few weeks. While you're waiting for the swelling and bruising to subside, use camouflage makeup and creative hairstyling. In three to four weeks, you'll be ready to show off your new face, which will remind you of the way you looked 10 years ago.

Removing Fine Lines with a Facelift

The face lift has three parts: eyebrow lift, cheek lift, and neck lift. At your consultation, Dr. Kridel will project your face on the computer imaging machine screen so that you can see the results of surgery that he projects as possibilities. A face lift eliminates sagging caused by loose skin, and it also lifts and tightens skin and fatty tissues of the face and neck. It won't get rid of fine wrinkles or creases around the mouth; that requires laser skin resurfacing or a peel.

Getting Rid of Brown Spots on the Neck

Dr. Kridel, who introduced laser skin resurfacing in Houston, says, "The laser peel for facial rejuvenation can reverse damage done to the skin by age, sun, and acne. The skin can be restored, making you look younger." Today, many plastic surgeons are seeing an increasing demand for laser treatments because people have seen dramatic before and after photos of much-improved skin. Basically, the laser vaporizes wrinkles, which is considerably more appealing than having wrinkles "burned off" by a chemical.

Facelift Operation

The surgery usually takes about four hours, and it can be done in an outpatient surgical center or hospital. Most patients prefer general anesthesia and usually spend the first night at the center or at an after-care facility. When the face lift procedure is over, Dr. Kridel will wrap a bulky bandage around your face, head, and neck. Small rubber tubes will drain excess fluids. The following day, the doctor will remove these and apply a chin-strap-like bandage. Three days later, Dr. Kridel's office staff will wash your hair. Ten days after surgery, Dr. Kridel will remove your sutures and you can start wearing makeup again. Two weeks after the face lift, you will be back to your normal routine.
