It is very common that patients combine a chin implant with cosmetic nose surgery. A retrusive, or weak, chin can give the appearance of a larger nose or a shorter neckline. For some patients, due to genetics, trauma or malformation, cosmetic alteration of the nose or chin alone does not provide the optimal facial proportion a patient desires. Prior to surgery, this patient was unhappy with the dorsal hump and bulbous tip of her nose. She was also unhappy with the lack of projection of her chin. To address these concerns, Dr. Kridel performed a rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and turbinate reduction, and also augmented her chin with a chin implant. Following surgery, she has a softer, more balanced profile. The patient is very happy with her results!
