At FPSA, were are pleased to offer Daxxify by Revance, the new Botox alternative.
You may remember our blog post from September 2022, when we first announced the FDA approval of the novel neuromodulator Daxxify for use in patients, with research showing significantly longer-lasting results when compared to other types of neurotoxin. Of course, we wanted to wait a little longer to ensure that Daxxify proved safe and effective.
In June 2023, with nine months of track record showing that Daxxify works as well as the manufacturer Revance Aesthetics claims it does, our FPSA team has now included Daxxify in our selection of neuromodulators.
Daxxify: The New Botox Alternative
Daxxify is an FDA-approved new injectable neuromodulator to improve the appearance of facial wrinkles caused by the dynamic action of muscles on the skin. It works by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause these lines to form. Daxxify is similar to other wrinkle relaxers, such as Botox and Dysport, but it has several key advantages.
Longer-lasting results: Daxxify can last up to six months, while other wrinkle relaxers typically last three to four months. This means that you may need fewer injections with Daxxify. For most patients, this means they would only need two injections each year to maintain their results.
Peptide-powered: Daxxify is made with a unique peptide formulation that can be produced without animal or human by-products. This makes it a more appealing option for some people concerned about using animal products in their beauty treatments.
Safe and effective: Daxxify has been shown to be safe and effective in both clinical trials and widespread clinical use. It is a well-tolerated treatment with few side effects.
If you are considering Daxxify for treating frown lines, be sure to talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits. Daxxify is not suitable for everyone, so getting a personalized assessment before deciding is essential.
