Founded in 1981 by Dr. Russell Kridel, our practice was built on a clear vision: to provide highly specialized, thoughtful aesthetic surgery with an unwavering commitment to excellence.

As one of the early pioneers in facial plastic surgery, Dr. Kridel helped shape the field through decades of innovation, education, and patient care. Over the course of his career, he has helped thousands of patients and earned national recognition for his work in rhinoplasty, septal perforation repair, and facial rejuvenation. He has published extensively in the medical literature, contributed to the advancement of modern facial plastic surgery, and trained generations of surgeons through fellowship and mentorship.

His work laid the foundation for the practice we continue to build today.

2. The Next Chapter

Continuing a Legacy of Excellence

Dr. Sean Delaney’s connection to the practice began well before he officially joined it in 2021.

After earning his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of USC and completing residency training in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at USC, Dr. Delaney came to Houston in 2017 to complete fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery under Dr. Russell Kridel.

Following fellowship, Dr. Delaney returned to California, where he served as Director of Facial Plastic Surgery at Huntington ENT Head & Neck Specialists in Pasadena. There, he built a respected surgical practice focused on facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, and reconstructive facial surgery.

In 2021, Dr. Kridel invited Dr. Delaney to return to Houston and join the practice with a clear purpose: to help lead its next chapter and carry forward the surgical philosophy, precision, and standards that had defined it for decades.

That continuity reflects more than shared training. It represents a direct continuation of the values on which the practice was built—thoughtful surgical planning, technical precision, and natural, refined outcomes.

Today, Dr. Delaney leads the next generation of facial plastic surgery within the practice, with a continued focus on facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty grounded in the same philosophy that defines his approach: preserving what is naturally you, expertly refined through thoughtful surgical precision.

3. Thoughtful Growth

Evolving to Serve Patients More Completely

In 2025, Dr. John Hamati joined the practice, marking an important evolution in its growth.

A well-trained plastic surgeon with extensive experience in aesthetic breast and body surgery, Dr. Hamati brings both technical skill and thoughtful, compassionate care to every patient experience. During his training at UTMB, he performed hundreds of abdominoplasties and breast procedures, developing a strong surgical foundation and refined aesthetic judgment.

His addition expands the practice beyond facial plastic surgery alone—allowing patients to access breast and body procedures, injectables, and non-surgical aesthetic care within the same trusted practice.

This evolution reflects thoughtful growth, not change for its own sake: a broader aesthetic experience built on the same standards of trust, safety, and individualized care.

In 2021, we expanded our patient experience with the addition of an accredited in-office surgical suite—designed to provide greater privacy, comfort, and convenience without compromising safety.

This modern surgical environment allows many patients to undergo surgery in a more personal, discreet setting while maintaining the same rigorous standards for safety, sterility, and perioperative care.
