Importance of Selecting A Rhinoplasty Surgeon

Rhinoplasty, particularly Revision Rhinoplasty and Ethnic Rhinoplasty, surgery can be the most difficult and exacting of all facial plastic surgery procedures. While it may not seem that way when you look in a mirror and see the simple outline of your nose, the underlying anatomy is actually quite complex. In the case of Ethnic Rhinoplasty, the tissue structures may be different than in a Caucasian nose. However, no matter what your ethnicity, it is important to remember that no two noses are alike. So the most important thing a patient can do to ensure the best possible outcome is to select a facial plastic surgeon who does about 100 Rhinoplasty procedures each year like Dr. Kridel. Why? Because the surgeon will have the specific expertise and experience performing this challenging surgery on all types of noses. You won’t be a guinea pig.

Our society is now one large, wonderful melting pot of various ethnicities and cultures. So, in the case of Ethnic Rhinoplasty, not only does the surgeon need to understand the anatomy, but they must also have a complete understanding of the patient’s desired level of maintaining their ethnicity. And, they must have the proven ability to finesse their surgical techniques. In other words, one nose does not fit all. Dr. Kridel’s approach to Rhinoplasty surgery, no matter the ethnicity, is to tailor the procedure to each individual.

Dr. Kridel is a world-renowned Rhinoplasty surgeon: Dr. Kridel is considered by his peers as one of the best Rhinoplasty and Revision Rhinoplasty surgeons in the world. He has written over 80 scientific journal articles and book chapters on Rhinoplasty, including several articles noted below, specific to Ethnic Rhinoplasty. He has been invited to speak at medical courses all around the globe and trained thousands of surgeons using surgical techniques that he has developed and are now taught at medical schools across the country. So, before having any type of Rhinoplasty surgery, be sure to select the most skilled and experienced facial plastic surgeon and be sure to ask the following questions during your consultation.

Questions to ask when selecting a surgeon: 1) How many Rhinoplasty surgeries do you perform each year? 2) How many of those would be considered an Ethnic Rhinoplasty? 3) Do you have before and after photos of your own patients? 4) Have you published any medical journal articles on Rhinoplasty? 5) Have you taught other surgeons on Rhinoplasty? 6) Have you performed Rhinoplasty surgery on other surgeons and their family members? 7) Do you specialize in the head and neck area?
