Overview

As collagen and elastin decrease while your body ages,  skin on the neck, jawline, and under the chin begin to loosen and sag. You may even notice increased crepey skin, wrinkles, and fine lines around your face. To combat these signs of aging, Facial Plastic Surgery Associates in Houston, TX is proud to offer FaceTite. This treatment is particularly well suited for treated the lower face and neck. It can be combined with neck liposuction at the same time, if indicated. This cutting-edge, minimally invasive skin-tightening and fat-melting procedure is performed by facial plastic surgeons Dr. Russell Kridel and Dr. Sean Delaney to provide patients with a firmer, more youthful appearance. FaceTite uses radiofrequency energy to melt and dislodge fat cells and firm up the skin by shrinking collagen fibers and promoting new collagen production. As a result, patients enjoy smoother, tighter facial skin and necklines without the long recovery of a surgical facelift. Schedule your consultation with one of our talented surgeons to learn more about this innovative procedure.

What Sets Us Apart?

At Facial Plastic Surgery Associates, you can trust that your aesthetic procedures are being performed by experts in their field. Dr. Kridel and Dr. Delaney are award-winning surgeons who specialize in facial plastic surgery of the face and neck. By focusing solely on the neck and up, our surgeons have perfected their techniques and perform facial surgeries with the kind of precision that competitors simply cannot offer. In addition, you will have your procedure in our in-office AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care) accredited surgical suite.

Procedure Technique

FaceTite uses a minimally invasive process that involves placing a tiny cannula beneath your skin while using local anesthesia. Once the cannula is placed, the temperature of the FaceTite handpiece will be monitored and controlled via internal and external thermometer, ensuring the heat remains at a comfortable temperature. The radiofrequency energy emitted by the device will work to disrupt fat cells while causing the skin to contract, igniting an increase in collagen production. If necessary, liposuction under the chin can be performed at the same time. The procedure normally takes about 1.5 hours. FaceTite can effectively treat both the neck and lower face.

I had facetite, submental lipo, and morpheus8. The downtown was very minimal and I was able to return to work in 2 days. The results have been amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Kridel and this procedure.

What to Expect After Treatment

Following a FaceTite procedure, you'll be able to return home to rest and relax for the remaining portion of the day wearing a compression garment. You will be able to return to your daily routine by the next day. It will take approximately three days for any redness or swelling to fade. Strenuous exercises and activities should still be avoided for approximately two weeks after the treatment. Patients will typically observe some results immediately after their FaceTite treatment. However, since the treatment works by stimulating the healing cascade, you will see more gradual improvements beginning around 4-6 months after treatment that will continue to improve for up to a year. Your results will likely be long-lasting if you keep a healthy weight through proper diet and exercise.

About Us
Who are the best candidates for FaceTite™?

FaceTite™ is the perfect answer for patients who are not yet ready for a facelift, but want to tighten the tissues of the face and neck. For patients 30 and older looking to treat deep lines, loose skin, improve the jawline or would like to lose a double chin, FaceTite™ is an ideal option. It can also be an option for patients with more advanced skin laxity who do not want a surgical solution for various reasons but also understand that results will not be as dramatic as a surgical facelift. It can also be ideal if you’ve already had a facelift and just want to sustain your youthful look without having additional surgery. During your initial consultation, Dr. Kridel or Dr. Delaney, will help you determine if the FaceTite™ treatment is a good choice for you, based on your medical history and your own unique aesthetic goals. In order to receive this treatment, you shouldn't be pregnant or have had cosmetic injections performed within the last 6 – 8 months.

What are the biggest benefits?

FaceTite™ produces dramatic improvement in skin laxity on the face and neck. It can be performed with local anesthesia in our AAAHC accredited surgery suite and only takes one to one and a half hours to perfgorm. There is minimal downtime needed.

How long does it last?

Results last up to five years. We can’t stop the aging process, but it will turn back the hands of time.

Will I see the results right away?

Yes, you will see visible improvement right away. But, as the healing cascade from the radiofrequency heat kicks into action, you can expect to see more improvements beginning around 4 to 6 months after treatment that improves up to 12 months after the procedure.

How much does it cost?

The cost of your FaceTite™ treatment depends on the size and number of treatment areas, as well as the time projected to perform the procedure. Costs also vary if additional procedures such as, liposuction or PRP or Morpheus8 are used in combination with FaceTite™. During your consultation, one of our surgeons will discuss your cosmetic goals and treatment options before estimating the cost of your procedure.

What are the side effects of FaceTite™?

The most common side effects of FaceTite include temporary tenderness, swelling, redness, and bruising.

Can it be combined with other procedures?

Absolutely. FaceTite™ can be combined with liposuction for those patients who have more significant fat under the chin and in the neck. Liposuction removes the fat, and then the FaceTite™ procedure can help tighten the lose skin. FaceTite™ is also often combined with Morpheus8, which is a microneedling RF treatment that helps improve skin texture.

What is the downtime?

There is not a lot of downtime. As a rule of thumb, we suggest being off work or out of the public eye for 5 to 7 days. You will feel fine but have some swelling, redness, and possible bruising. You will also need to wear a facial sling for 5 to 7 days post-procedure.

Is it safe?

Yes. And, FaceTite™ is an FDA-approved procedure. Like all treatments, there are potential risks, but they are not significant.

What is the difference between a facelift and FaceTite™?

Our MVP surgical facelift removes excess skin and fat, while FaceTite™ tightens what is already there and helps melt away fat. A facelift shifts back the hands of time about 10 to 15 years. Because FaceTite™ is a non-surgical procedure, the time shift is about 5 years. For patients with more significant jowling and loose skin, a surgical facelift will provide more dramatic and lasting results. Also, only a surgical facelift can address platysma banding in the neck.

How is it different from Ulthera?

FaceTite™ is a stronger modality because it is bipolar, using radiofrequency beneath and above the skin. It is also delivered at a higher energy level. Ulthera is less invasive because no incisions are made at all, and there is virtually no downtime. Ulthera is for those with the earliest stages of skin laxity or who want a treatment with minimal downtime.

When can I take a shower and wear makeup?

You can take a shower the next day, and you can wear makeup after 24 hours.

Are there any incisions?

Very small incisions are made under the chin and behind both earlobes. They heal beautifully, making the incision virtually undetectable.
