Crooked Nose Repaired, with Rhinoplasty & Septoplasty*

Procedure Details

This 34 greater Houston area patient had an injury to her nose. After the initial healing process she had trouble breathing and her nose was crooked. Dr. Sturm repaired the nasal bone fractures and did a septoplasty to correct the deviated septum. She also did a rhinoplasty to straighten her nose and remove the dorsal hump. Just 1 mo post-op and the patient already notices vastly improved breathing and her nose is now straight and looks amazing.

Rhinoplasty After Injury

An accident that causes trauma to the nose can leave internal and external damage after a fracture heals. For example, this 34 yr old had a crooked nose with septal deviation, asymmetric domes, nasal valve collapse and a bony dorsal hump which was corrected by Dr. Sturm with Septoplasty, inferior turbinates and Rhinoplasty surgery. The injury also resulted in the appearance of a crooked nose. Just 1 month after Rhinoplasty the patient is also happy to have a straight nose with an improved tip that looks even better than before the injury. There will be more subtle improvement as the swelling continues to recede.
